Pileo usque ad 6 mm alto, 7,5mm lato, subhemisphaerico-truncato, crassecostato, albo, deingriseo-brunneo, tenuissime araneo-fibrilloso. Lamellis confertissimis, latissimis, alhis dein griseo-brunneis, non nigris. Stipite usque ad 16 mm x 1 mm, deorsum dilatato, albo, tenuissime araneo-fibrilloso, dein glabro. AFHMJ: 215 + fig.
Observations:
Spores [40,1,1] 5.5--8.0 x 4--5.3 µm, rather pale brown, ovoid or ellipsoid, in side view slightly narrower than in frontal view, up to 4.7 µm; Q= 1.35--1.60, av. Q= 1.45; av. L= 6.7--7.1, av. B= 4.5--4.9 µm. Germ pore central, c. 1.3 µm in diameter. Basidia 12--21 x 6.5--8 µm, 4-spored. Pleurocystidia 40--80 x 10--18 µm. Cheilocystidia 30--70 x 8--18 µm. Veil thin-walled, 2--6 µm wide, not coloured. Clamp-connections not seen.
Notes: an extensive description and drawings of basidiocarps and microscopical details have been added to the type collection. The size of the spores found in the type appear to be somewhat smaller that those given by Favre (8--9.5 x 5--6.2 µm).
